about

I formed 'Tibetan Dixie' in 1988 in Berlin to play compositions based on my 'Rhythmologic Concept' (a nod of sorts to Ornette Coleman).
The original ensemble consisted of Gebhard Ullmann, Christof Griese, Joachim Litty, Martin Lillich and myself.
The recording of this ensemble from 1988 can be found on 'Tibetan Dixie - The Berlin Tapes' here on Bandcamp.
'Nothing Too Serious' was the first recording of the Australian version of Tibetan Dixie. A second album was soon to follow ('Ya-it-ma Thang' featuring Arthur Blythe).
